Dark Trooper[TK] Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 I have a question with my belt, So I riveted belt to my ab plate but it keeps on poping off is there a better way of doing this attachment? Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Can depend on how much bend you have in your plastic section, you may need to heat it a little and form it to your armor, that would take some stress out of it. Some snaps are pretty weak, you can squash them slightly with pliers, may be worth a try before going for a complete overhaul Quote
DizzyStormtrooper[501st] Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 did you use backing washers? i bolted mine on with little nuts and washers so its still removable if need be Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 I used Chicogo screws. Hidden by the belt bottons. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Wait....you said you riveted your belt to your ab. That might be the first place to start. The plastic ammo belt should first be attached to your canvas belt. then the canvas belt should be held to the ab plate with snaps. Dark Trooper[TK] Posted September 25, 2013 Author Report Posted September 25, 2013 I tried snaps in the first place but that would pop off then went to rivets and the same thing is still going on. I would take rivet through the ammo pack and the canvas belt and did the same thing with a snap. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 I would suggest the plastic piece is not formed properly around the armor, may need some heat, if it has any spring in it then it will pop off what ever you use Quote

heavyarms[TK] Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Review this Tutorial on shaping your ammo belt. If you don't have a heat gun, a good hair dryer will work too. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/8757-howto-get-a-good-heat-bend-on-your-belt/ Quote
