Locitus[Admin] Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Yup. Look at the other SE-14R builds for some of the morgan casts. This one is good: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19460-se-14r-sidearm/page-2 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Wow thanks Mathias, that is the first time I have seen that grip. Well I have been asked if I will sell this one that I am building so I think I will and make another one, I do like that grip and it will be easy to replicate, I just need to shape the grip first then I can heat the plastic matting and apply it while still hot. gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 Electronics mounted onto a strip of aluminum Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 Scope mount made and fitted, decided to give it all a coat of primer to see what needs some bondo and adjustment. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Very impressive scratch build! It really looks good I like the design of this little blaster, you make me want to build one too Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 22, 2013 Author Report Posted September 22, 2013 Managed to get a coat of silver on, will need a few days to dry pretty cold and wet here at the moment Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 23, 2013 Author Report Posted September 23, 2013 Two coats of silver, now on to some satin black Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 24, 2013 Author Report Posted September 24, 2013 Another coat of black applied. Started on a holster, found some nice reference photos over at the French 501st Garrison. I had never noticed this holster in ANH so it was quite interesting, especially as the SE-14R wouldn't fit in an E-11 holster. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 25, 2013 Author Report Posted September 25, 2013 Two coats of satin clear applied, now on hold until the scope gets here before I can finish the holster. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 There was a bunch of SE-14R scopes on sale on the french forum and i regret not having bought a couple a that time! Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 26, 2013 Author Report Posted September 26, 2013 That would have been cool, I have found some cheap similar ones from China, only $8 each so I am trying a couple of different ones, but seem post from China comes by Yak Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 27, 2013 Author Report Posted September 27, 2013 Must have been the day for mail to arrive, scope fitted and we are just about done, a few fine paint details to go. Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Is it okay that I hate you a tiny bit?? Quote

Trooperman Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) You know youve done an amazing job with this SE-14R build and your other blasters , you mentioned you will proberbly build a MK2! might you consider molding the MK2 and selling them? Edited September 27, 2013 by Trooperman Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 27, 2013 Author Report Posted September 27, 2013 I don't have a lot to do with molding, it's hard to get a lot of stuff here in Australia. I have a fellow squad member with a 3D printer who I will be catching up with soon, see what I can have printed to get the blaster really looking professional. There are a few SE-14R's in resin being sold around the empire, details I found in some of the other build threads Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Tsss, that's it, i need one... Might not build it from scratch though, i haven't your (amazing) skill! Congrats! What type of scope is it in the end? 4x20 Vintage ASI? Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 27, 2013 Author Report Posted September 27, 2013 Tsss, that's it, i need one... Might not build it from scratch though, i haven't your (amazing) skill! Congrats! What type of scope is it in the end? 4x20 Vintage ASI? Thanks Germain, yes it was a 4x20 scope, it's an aftermarket piece from China $8 from evil bay (inc postage), all I had to do was use some acetone to remove the white makers name from the top of the scope. For $8 it wasn't worth me trying to make one, I know it's cheating but it does look good. Shame it has to be used back to front Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 28, 2013 Author Report Posted September 28, 2013 Holster done, now just have to make another belt as it attaches in the middle of the belt unlike other holsters. Quote

Truimphmark[TK] Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 Hi glen have you got the template of the holster for your se14r build Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted October 10, 2013 Author Report Posted October 10, 2013 (edited) There was no template, I found some rough measurements over at the French 501st forum here, I then used the SE-14R as a guide for sizing and took it from there, below is the photo posted by RS propmaster of what it looks like Edited October 10, 2013 by gmrhodes13 Quote
Allerg3n Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Great work as always! That blaster board is mighty impressive. Methinks I might design a wall mount for the DLT-19 I'm building, but we'll see if my wife will let me hang it up in public Quote
