Fan Expo 2013 - [Beware - picture overload]

Alrighty troopers, this was our biggest event of the year this side of the border and boy did we really make it a fantastic experience. Four, yes FOUR big days of trooping and fundraising for the Make-a-wish foundation. I could not be more proud of the efforts of my brothers and sisters in attendance. 

 

 

 

 

Members of the 501st Legion's 501st Canadian Garrison, Forteresse Impériale Squad, Capital City Garrison, Garrison Excelsior, and The Ohio Garrison assembled alongside members of the R2 Builders and Rebel Legion Canadian Base at Fan Expo Canada !

 

 

 

 

 

This year we had the task of occupying a 110ft x 10wide booth space. Challenge Accepted. We had props large and small, display cases, banners, backdrops, our 1/4 scale AT-ST and oh, yeah, THAT's an Emperor's chair for folks to perch their bums on... more on that later. We're still waiting on the tally for our fundraising, but the stack of bills and weight of the coins would strain muscles of a Hutt I tells ya!

 

 

 

 

 

This was the first event where both Canadian Centurions finally met at the same event! Our Tantive IV Boarding Fire Team represented big time each and every day all over the place, whether it was blaster range targets, or escorting celebs, we had it covered. 

 

 

 

 

 

I plan to just dump a poop-ton of photos in and then go back and add any smarty pants commentary. These will not be TK only photos, I wanted to show off all the awesomeness that best represents how diverse we were!

I was put to the task of organizing the dirty Tatooine dwellers and visitors on march, so I decided to organize two, one on the Friday and one on the Sunday. Here is a mix of both, cuz I am lazy like that:

He was intentionally sitting forward in the chair to provide light to his face for the photo op. When you sit all the way back, you lose the light on the face. Also, without robes on, he would not have have been touching the floor when sitting all the way back. He is not really a tall fella.
