Brown1215 Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Hi guys I'm new here about an hour now lol! Can some one tell me is there a thread for a step by step process here I want to start with the helmet, it's a 3 piece set where do I begin. Thank you Dave Quote
Ditch[501st] Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 There should be 3 bumps or dents on each piece. That is a good place to start. They should all line up in a perfect world. Quote

kylebeagle[TK] Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Welcome! I found this forum a good place to start. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ -------------- All the answers you need are here. gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 If you could post a few photo's it would be helpful. Most of this hobby is research, have a look at some of the other helmet builds, they will be of a great help. Quote
Kaden Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Not sure which helmet you have but here are two really good tutorials I used when I built mine: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/14154-building-a-styrene-anh-helmet-with-cap-w/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/14806-how-to-assembling-ata-abs-helmet-1/ Hope it helps. Brown1215 Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 I have a ABS armor set by troopergear now to start my helmet is a 3 piece set it looks out shaped do I use a heat gun to help form this??? And which do I attach first? The bell to the back??? Thanks!also I can't seem to upload photos it says file to big? Its my cell phone lol. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 You have got to do some research, this is the main part of any costume. Glue top to back then add the front, E6000 glue is used as you can remove the pieces if needed with this glue.. Quote
Brown1215 Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 Ok thanks they supplied me with abs glue no good? Quote
DizzyStormtrooper[501st] Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 you dont have troopergear armor, you have NE armor. look through peoples NE build threads. theres some gap in the dome which is easily fixed with the right clamp and glue technique demonstrated in those threads Quote
Brown1215 Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 NE threads? How do I Find those Quote
Brown1215 Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 Thanks! Apparently I'm looking for the NE 3 piece bucket build? I have a trooper gear set of armor need to start ont the bucket I was told that the three piece set is a NE build? Can any one point me to these build threads? Thanks Quote

Irish501st Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Brown1215, I believe I sent you a guide and some pictures. Personally not happy with Troopergear...helmet is more warped than the movie "warp". Yes it is a NE kit but a Troopergear product non-the-less. A lot of the armor is also wonkie needs trimming moding or doesn't line up the best. Keep in touch with me Brown1215 and I'll keep you well informed as best as possible. I am almost done with one setup and starting the second. I am building 2 one for me and one for my son....just sucks because they were recommended seller here on the forum...Moral is if you save up more coin buy one of the more expensive setups...from what I am reading they are a lot better. Griffon King[TK] Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 I honestly like my NE armor. Aside from the ears being too small, the overall look of the helmet is good. The rest of the armor has good detail and I like the shiny white finish on the ABS. I'm pretty tall too (6' 3") and it worked out well for me. Dave - As far as ABS glue goes, forget what they sent you and go with E-6000. It is easier to work with, easier to clean up if you get some where you didn't want it, and if you make a mistake somewhere along the way it is easy to pull apart and re-do. As for tutorials, I used this forum as a guide for my build: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23285-ne-armor-build-thread/ Quote
