Tesla Kinetic[TK] Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 I know I saw it on the forum once, but cannot relocate it. I need suggestions on how to reinforce the area on the helmet that the mike tips seat in with CA glue and and old shirt. Anyone, anyone...? Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 You just said it. CA or any superglue for that matter, will work. Cut a piece of old t-shirt big enough to cover the rounded area and soak it with superglue. Watch for those fumes, though!!!!! Quote
carbonitekid Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 Another option I have found to work very well is this:Baby wipes.allow a couple to dry out fully and keep in repair kit. Use in place of Tshirt material with CA glue.So far I have repaired over a dozen TK armour parts of various makes and 3 helmets. But as said avoid the fumes as the are truly noxious / cyanide containing. Hope this is of use. Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 Baby wipes...Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm nice! Quote
Tesla Kinetic[TK] Posted August 22, 2013 Author Report Posted August 22, 2013 Great! Got any ideas on how to determine where to drill holes for the mike tips? I have an AP setup, but the guide hole dimples seem to be in different locations when compared to one another. Additionally, the right guide dimple is off center. Quote
