LadyInWhite[TK] Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 As anticipated, the counter popped off my hyperfirm E11 today. What's the best adhesive to re-attach it? Given that the Hyperfirm is some kind of rubber? I also considered some "pins" to help secure it a little better. It tends to slightly bend or "fold" when I put it in the holster, which is how it eventually weakened, I suspect. Cheers, the Lady Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 e-6000 and some rivet pins should do the trick! Quote
89Batman[TK] Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Personally I would and have used black flexi CA glue to great effect. Its rubber consistency works well and is less conspicuous. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
LadyInWhite[TK] Posted August 9, 2013 Author Report Posted August 9, 2013 Thanks, both! I am afraid the e6000 is just going to absorb into the rubber... normally I'd start there anyway. In my dreams this morning I used JB Weld. A day of experimenting with e6000, CA Glue, pins and JB weld LOL... Quote
89Batman[TK] Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 What is JB weld? I would be careful using anything that melts the rubber. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Billhag Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Black flexi CA Glue..... Mine popped off about 3 years ago, stuck the sucker straight back with it and it's stayed there ever since. It's great stuff, I swear by it Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Maybe urethane? The type they use to hold windshields on cars. It's very strong and flexible. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk Quote
