Which detonator face is the right one?

Hi everyone

 

We had a discussion about some details of the thermal detonator yesterday and hopefully someone can help us out.

 

We wondered about our detonator face because it was more bumpy then usual. Then we realized that it is maybe a sandtrooper mortar tube face plate. I attached some pictures for a better understanding. I appriciate every discussion about that.

troopermaster makes ANH faceplates with both the worn and sharp details.

 

that's not an ROTJ face.  it's the sharp and worn versions both contrasted.

Your plate is different from any of these pictured. I have three versions: ANH sharp, ANH worn and ROTJ. The two above are ANH sharp and ANH worn.

Very interesting. I wasn't aware of the two versions. Makes sense though, from what we know today about the low budget sci-fi flick we now worship, sculpting an producing a dedicated face for the mortar tube sounds very unlikely.

Your plate is very similar to first one but it is not the same. Post a photo and do a side by side comparison and you will see the slight differences
