bigtrev503 Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Hey, all I have costuming ADD and I can't work on just one at a time. I've slowly been peicing together a comic style batman suit and I got this amazing cowl. Problem is, it was designed for a slightly larger head than mine. When I put bubble wrap in the back of it it fits great as you can see, but I want to glue foam in it. I tried E6000 but it didn't stick. I want to get contact cement for my hand plates. Would it also work for this? Quote
bigtrev503 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Report Posted June 25, 2013 Also, I got this really fine mesh that I will be lightly spraying with white paint for the eyes. How can I flatten it out? It got creased in the mail. Should I iron it? Also, whick glue would work to stick this in the eyeholes of the cowl? I don't wanna have to wear raccoon makeup every time. Quote
TKheehaw[501st] Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Have you tried a "Thick film foam tape" ? Normally available at an auto parts place. Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 You can try CA glue but you need to really scuff the surfaces up on the joining parts to ensure a good gripping area for the glue. Quote

TKheehaw[501st] Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Is this what people use to pad out their TK armor? Nope.. Not sure what kind of foam is used for that. Quote
LadyInWhite[TK] Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 For the mesh, it looks like what i used for my frown... which is a kind of veil material. Do not iron it, but try to flatten it under some books for a few days. You also can find it in black if you prefer. If you spray it, it is so fine you might lose some of the mesh altogether. Quote
bigtrev503 Posted July 29, 2013 Author Report Posted July 29, 2013 I have contact cement for my hand guards. Think that'll work? Quote
89Batman[TK] Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Black flexible CA glue will do it. I'm pretty aire thay cowl is urethane and vey little sticks to that. Lwt me know if you need any more help. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
