where to get the right abs in the states

Hmmm. I am not an expert, but I would probably call an FX house and find out where they buy their thermoplastics. I know you can find ABS sheets on the internetz from manufacturers, but whether or not they're good quality or anything... dunno. Could also ask a hobby store if they can order or find out for you.

there are several armor makers in the USA I think walt wants help from ATA MTK or TE2 (sure wish he would do another run!)

there's also NE or tupperware TK

 

If I were you walt I'd start with terrell (ATA) and he could also ask MTK (trooperbay)

I've ordered from USPlastics before for my non-TK projects and found their white ABS and HIPS to be quite decent. Prices were OK (for small orders), though since then I've been dealing with a local canadian shop.
