TK1491 Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 Wondering if anyone can recommend a good mini mic for use with an aker set? I love the Aker, but would like to explore a more compact mic. I've seen everything from this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Countryman-H6OW6L-SL-H6-Omnidirectional-Headset-Microphone-for-Shure-wireless-/261168914250?pt=US_Other_Pro_Audio&hash=item3ccee15f4a To this: http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-Pro-PMHM2-Omni-directional-Microphone-3-5mm/dp/B003D2U08E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1369093135&sr=8-3&keywords=Omnidirectional+headset I don't need the VERY best, just a balance between size, comfort and performance? Any input is greatly appreciated! Scott Quote
Echo[TK] Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 I had one of these with my gaming headset and it works fairly well. http://store.gameshark.net/Tritton_AXPro_AX720_AX51Pro_AXPC_Pro_Mic/4845/272?scid=trittonsite Saw them being sold on eBay too check there Quote
TK1491 Posted May 21, 2013 Author Report Posted May 21, 2013 (edited) Interesting...looks like it requires a full headset though? I'm thinking the small, wire ear loop design might work well (getting the bucket on over it is the tricky part!) just not sure which type... Edited May 21, 2013 by TK1491 Quote
Echo[TK] Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 No need for a headset. I have it fastened to the inside of the helmet with a 3.5 cable attaching it to my iComm. Quote
Echo[TK] Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 (edited) Actually have mine fastened to my fan mount and it positions right in front of my lips Edited May 21, 2013 by Echo Quote

TK1491 Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 Cool thanks guys. The Aker mic functions great, it's just a beeyotch to get my bucket over it lol Quote
Laspector[TK] Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 I simply cut off the headset part of my Aker and just mounted the mike into my helmet. Quote
