Well almost...

Kit is on its way. But I'm so excited I'm starting my thread now.

My TK boots did arrive today thought! And so the new obsession begins...

Behold! The big brown box!

After a UPS snafu that resulted in me meeting the driver at a UPS Store to pick up the box from him. It has arrived...

Any suggestions on the first piece to start with? Taking a page from my Iron Man build, I won't start with the helmet.

I'm likewise starting on an NE build, which I just received. Exciting and daunting! I was wondering if you knew -- the extra curved shoulders, with no ridges, and the hexagon pieces... What are these for? I assume another variation but I can't figure out which one. Just curious.

Also, am I missing something or is there no thermal detonator back-piece here?

As for first piece, a lot of threads suggest biceps for getting the proverbial feet wet, which is what I'm going to do.

Hi Guns,

Not sure about the extra pieces yet. I wish it came with an inventory sheet the tells you what each piece is. I guess we will have to figure it out as we go.

I may try the biceps today. I also have another build going right now. Red Skull. I hope I'm not biting off too much.

The shoulder straps without ridges are an option for some sandtrooper builds, as are the hexagon pieces- those are in place of the sniper plate on the knee.

Remember to exhale, if you haven't passed out yet that is..

Congrats on your first cut. Keep it up!

Cant wait to see more from ya. I just got my NE box today, now I got to work all weekend then go to Vegas for a week...the pain! At least I got my Droid so I will be watching this and good luck.

Progress so far...

Biceps, forearms, right thigh.

Still have to do the back on the thigh but I'm letting the glue dry on the ammo box first. That thing was a pain!

Filling a gap in the thigh. Or at least trying to. I'll have to touch it up with some gloss white.

How do you fill gaps like this? I just taped the back and filled it with e6000.

Ok it won't let me upload the pic. Keeps saying the file is too big.

I usually host pics on Picaa, flickr or facebook, then post the link to the /jpg using the tags.

Good luck, can't wait to see your progress. I'll be working on mine like mad this weekend.

I do almost all of this on my phone using Tapatalk. It's really a pain to do anything else. Does this forum have a limit on pic uploaded?
