TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 Does anyone here have a parts list for all the extra parts they used to install a blastercore? if you have a list with suppliers it really would help out! post schematics and photos if you can! I need help from someone who could solder up a barrel LED setup? anyone interested in having me pay you to wire up a propagation ray? I'd also like to see battery setups, and capacitor setups. I'm not really good at all with electronics! Quote
crafty Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 have a look at this http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/18398-doopdoos-e11-with-electronics/ got batterys off ebay and all the rest off a local electrical shop. good source of info is http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=30606.0 if you got any more question just ask Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 It might be what you are looking for: http://www.plecterlabs.com/Media/Doc/BlasterCoreV4-GB.pdf Website link: http://www.plecterlabs.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=1148&language=en And if you still have questions I think this is the guy to contact Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 well.. my main interest is in getting the battery voltage, resistors and led's all from the correct suppliers. and getting all the math and setups correctly assigned. I don't know how to adjust the details for battery, resistor and led setup. that's my main problem. can anyone give a list of exactly where they purchased all the items needed? I don't want to blow up my board? can anyone wire me up a propagation ray led setup on a pvc pipe and send it to me? Quote
Bernarr Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 Page 8 of the PDF for BlasterCore has the specs on the LED hookups, 3.3v/25mA, I'm assuming it's regulated, since I didn't read through much of it as I don't own one myself. You can use this calculator to check what value resistors you should be using with your chosen LEDs- http://www.superbrightleds.com/led_info.php If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help! TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I want only people who have a blastercore and can help. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I want help to wire up a barrel with propagation ray. I want help to balance my leds and resistors. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 You do not need to own a blastercore to understand which resistors are needed at a certain input voltage to not have your LEDS burn out. This is pure math, and following instructions. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 can you show me the Hall sensors... do you know how to wire up a satelite board? the PDF that irvin has on his site is not complete... do you have a working blastercore in your blaster and want to help. ?? no other posts are worth my time. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I have read the PDF. and it does not cover all the details.. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 You want the size of your resistors to use for your leds. Let's say you hook your blaster core up to an input voltage of 9 volts from a normal battery. If we follow Ohm's Law, that gives us the formula for R=V/I or Resistance = Volt / current. The maximum current you may draw through your LEDs per instruction in the PDF is 2.25 mA. Now you know 2 of 3 variables, and can solve the equation. If we add the numbers into the formula we get R = (9 - 3.3)/ 0.0025 = 228 ohm Es is the source voltage, measured in volts (V), Eled is the voltage drop across the LED, measured in volts (V), Iled is the current through the LED, measured in Amperes (Amps/A), and R is the resistance, measured in Ohms (Ω). http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/led_resistor_calculator.php Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I want a listing of parts that are used in an EXISTING AND WORKING BLASTERCORE INSTALL. Quote
Bernarr Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 If we add the numbers into the formula we get R = (9 - 3.3)/ 0.0025 = 228 ohm But it isn't theory, because he gave you the work. You'd need a 228 Ohm resistor for each of your LEDs. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 does not help... since it's theory and not applied... So just change the values to something that suits you. But my example is very "real-world". Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 real in what world? In a world where electronics follow the laws of physics and where LEDs and 9volt batteries have been invented. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 what I want: A propagation ray barrell wired up. with color change for blue and red. a barrel tip led wired up for stun and main flash. a full wiring diagram and resistors and capacitors for a battery bay and charging system. no critics can help... only real troopers helping troopers. Quote
Bernarr Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) What color LEDs did you want to use for the propagation? Standard red? If so, here's the resistors and LEDs you can use- LEDs: http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=SLX-LX5093IDvirtualkey69600000virtualkey696-SLX-LX5093ID Resistors: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Xicon/291-240-RC/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMu61qfTUdNhG2SQwNu9H8kGcqIgBPvMRF0%3d For the propagation, you'd need 6 of each. In case you didn't know, with Erv's board and through-hole resistors, you'll want to kind of wind one lead of the resistor around the positive (longer) lead on the LED and tin it with some solder, then solder the other lead where the LED positive lead would go. Obviously I was typing that as you were replying^ Edited May 2, 2013 by Bernarr Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I'll still have to figure out how to wire the hall sensors to a real sterling trigger group... but I guess the critics will say that the exact instructions are included in the PDF? LOL. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I want to use red propagation ray when main flash is called. I want to use blue flash when propagation ray is called for stun. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 chris sounds like he might be able to help... is this the case? Quote
Bernarr Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 I can work something up for you a bit later, but I'm heading home from the office in a few minutes. I'm not sure what you wanted to use the hall sensors for, if you wanted to keep that under wraps, you can pm me with the pertinent info. The dual propray is fairly simple, Erv added an auxray setting as well. Did you want to use a pair of LEDs left/right for each position and color or just one LED? Personally, I think the left/right looks better, more realistic Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) so from my description I need the satelite board, and will need the proper leds for the main flash and the propagation ray leds. since I want the color change in both the propagation ray and the main flash. this according to me needs to have different resistor values and led values. the PDF describes 2 red led's in the propagation ray per SIDE. and this is INCORRECT I only want one side of multicolor leds. see... this is a great example of how the PDF is not exactly correct for how e-11's are to be made. TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Posted May 2, 2013 I want the blastercore to have propagation ray in blue and red. depending upon the range setting. stun and regular blast. Quote
Bernarr Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 I've done it both ways, it depends on owner preference in my opinion. One guy wanted blue on one side and red on the other. I've never heard anyone say it's wrong, so I'm curious why you say so? Quote
