I'm busy updating my AM suit and will need some guidance for a few pointed questions along the way.

Here's my original approval pics in 2011. I've since ditched the FX lid for an MKT.

Some were answered here (http://www.whitearmo...strip-question/), but I plan to post any additional questions in this thread.

What I am planning and working on for the updates

- New RT Mod thighs as mine were cut too short by the previous owner. Assembling these with strips rather than the overlap.

- Strips. I plan to update the whole kit with strips rather than the overlapping joints.

- Trim bottom of chestplate and the backplate following pandartroopers tutorial (http://www.whitearmo...-build-threadam)

- While adding strips to the arms I will be making them smaller so there is a better fit. They are a little big and I've been using padding to fill them out.

- Shoulder bells .. some reshaping and possibly some trimming.

- Some trimming and reshaping of the butt plate

- New O2 cannister eliminating the AM "stand offs." Already have some accurate aluminum clips / holders.

- New belt .. mine is getting pretty ratted out and it's not the right width.

- Repair on chest plate. Just below my right shoulder strap there is a melted spot. Previous owner left it too close to a lamp. Hard to see when out and about, but I want to fix it just the same with the "ABS paste" trick.

- Canvas shoulder straps under the ABS

- Add backs to the drop boxes

- snaps and rivets added where needed on the torso armor

- snaps and strap between cod and butt

- Add rubber handplates

So first new question. For the forearms. It's my understnading that there should be no return edge on the front near the hands. What about the backside near the elbow? There is a bit of a return there now, should that be sanded off?

Keep the return edge at the back. About 4-5 mm is good.
