Looking good, just a couple of things, I would try to bring your bells in a bit more at the top, too much black showing, back of your drop boxes could go in a bit futher, need to be flush, paint the rivets on your knee ammo pack and also your ab rivets, could just be me but your biceps seem a bit large, should have more of a gap between your holster and belt, you could do with a bottom strap on the right side of your ab seems to be open and your right thigh could do to come up and rotate a little.

You may just scrape in, last EIB for 2012 or first EIB for 2013 LOL. Good luck with approval

Well...

If you consider attaching it to your AB panel via snap fasteners, then this will help to keep your belt in the right place, and the extra mounts will assist in holding the weight of your holster, and holstered blaster.

Of this I am aware, but I was a bit of a silly billy and shouldve done it before i made up the belt, was toying with the idea of velcro, what you think?

Are you sure that you cannot add the female snap fasteners to the canvas belt still?

Behind the last ammo box of your ammo belt?

If you can add the fasteners there,

Then you can add the male fasteners to your AB panel after.

Try this without taking the belt apart.

At the end of the day, taking the belt slightly apart isn't that much of a mission.

Good luck trooper.

Jamie , all is not lost mate please do not use velcro that will not hold the belt in postion , just attach the x2 male snaps to the abb , and you can with no probs fix the x2 female snaps to the belt without taking apart , there are some really great Billagrams some where showing the belt set up but i cant think where they are !

Hi Jamie,

I can't find the required Billagram either, but if you look at this pic

133c9d6540894dad252d73d45477e608.jpg

You are aiming for a female snap in the canvas belt, behind the last ammo box.

If you position the snap there, then you have room for your finger to pop in and snap it to your AB plate.

Line the belt up, just below your central AB buttons and then mark and add the male corresponding snaps to your AB panel.

Nothing is lost. :)

Yerrp, they have been posted up on a few peoples ‘Build’ threads over on the UKG.

Jame, here you go mate, easy to do even with the belt made up. :)

And yerrp, your drop boxes are wrong. It might not be a problem with clearing EIB or Centurion but you may want to think about doing them the correct way B)

This is a good looking build! I think people have already mentioned the small fixes that you could work on, but nice job! Good luck on your EIB.

On another note, I like all the diagrams that people are sharing. All of these images and pics are really helpful to troopers during builds.

they are aren't they? Im rather honoured that my mis-build drop boxes have been used by Billy :P

Am I just waiting on admin to look at this or do I need to do the little fixes peeps have mentioned and re-apply?

Posted

I'll have a proper look at this application later tonight. But adding the snaps to the ab and belt is the right thing to do. :)

Posted

Like stated, you really should consider adding the snaps to the ab and belt to keep it in place. You should also paint the side split rivets and knee belt rivets white, as well as shorten the shoulder bell straps to bring them in closer to your chest. But that's minor issues to make you look even better.

Approved! :duim:

Congrats Jamie. Good looking TK! The Emperor will be pleased :)

Congrats on the EIB!

Next stop Centurion? ;)

Posted

Wehey top stuff, I reckon I can have most of that done on my next day off (monday).

Apart from scuffing up the ol' boots, whats needed for Centurion?

Posted

I would recommend doing the mentioned adjustments before centurion. It's always better to be over the top. ;)

Well done trooper, was worth the wait and first EIB for 2013. A little extra work for Centurion will be worth while in the end :jc_doublethumbup:
