Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Here's my third troop since I've joined the Rancor Raiders this month. We rang the Salvation Army bell in Brandon, MS at the local Walgreens. The reception was phenomenal and the Red Bucket was completely full at the end of our time. Trooping has been more rewarding to me than I could have possibly imagined. Lots of wonderful and dedicated people in our Garrison. I'm very proud to be a part of it. One of the head guys of the Salvation Army heard of the "commotion" at our location and showed up to check things out himself. He was so impressed and so grateful for all that we were doing. We told him that we would like for this to be an annual thing for us and he WHOLE Heartedly agreed. The weather was perfect. Me and Fett starting out the day ringing the bells. For the record, I'm the shorter TK (with a holstered blaster) in the rest of the pics Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Very cool, nice photo's, thanks for sharing Quote
LadyInWhite[TK] Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Fun in the sun! Good work, trooper - funny how the TKs stand out against all other characters! Quote
Potty Meister Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Your armor looks great dude. Nice work. Glad you're having fun! Quote

TK9926 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Thats great news! Good work troopers. Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 23, 2012 Author Report Posted December 23, 2012 Yes, Ingrid, other than Vader....the TKs definitely standout. I had people walking up to get pictures and walked by Vader to get their first pic with me. Thanks, Jay! Paul makes great looking armor. I'm having a blast! It is definitely fun, especially when it benefits charity. I can't wait to find out how much we collected. Quote
Vader Rocks Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Great job for a great cause. Kind of cool how the crowds flock to the TK's first huh? Quote
Teach Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Well done. Looking good for a good cause. Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 UPDATE: Just found out that we raised just under $400 in a 5 hours period. We were told the average was $100 per bucket and we gathered 4x that. Pretty awesome! Way to go Rancor Raiders! Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Dude man... your TK came out great. I'm not sure how I didn't notice before. Remind me why you're not applying for EIB before the end of the year? -Eric Quote

Remind me why you're not applying for EIB before the end of the year? -Eric Thanks for the compliment! Because of issues regarding me getting half of a Doopydoos blaster, I don't have the weapon to apply for EIB or Centurion. Darth Voorhees is working on a kit that will hopefully be ready by the end of January. When I get the weapon, I will be ready to apply for Centurion status. Quote

Doopy only sent you part of a blaster? Lame. What's in your holster in these photos? (sounds like a personal question doesn't it? Just happy to see us?) -Eric Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) Oops. Doopy only sent you part of a blaster? Lame. What's in your holster in these photos? (sounds like a personal question doesn't it? Just happy to see us?) -Eric Well, I don't think it was Doopys fault on the half blaster. I think it was the mail system. They said they sent replacement parts, but I've yet to see them (and that's been about two and a half months). The blaster I have in my pics is a Hyperfirm blaster I've been borrowing from a fellow trooper for our troops. Edited December 29, 2012 by Geaux Saints Quote
