SW1 Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 Hi Keith , i normally go 5 strip's up to the end Quote
LadyInWhite[TK] Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 the big one in front and 5 little tabs (maybe 4 if you're building armor for a smallish person, so it doesn't come down too far in front) Quote
stormtrooper_build Posted December 15, 2012 Author Report Posted December 15, 2012 i ended up going 1 big and 4 small as i was finding it hard to keep the hole thing flat. the bottom of the strip was resting on the edge of the part were the chest curves off to the side. if you know what i mean. zebrabuse Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 I just wanted to say three cheers for that gif! Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 cannon distance is large tab and 5 ribs up to the top. change for short or thick chested builds. Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 I went big...5 small. Quote
DudeSidious Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 me too, one big five small. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 I am just about to glue mine, I also asked the question and it seemed most went of the 1 large tab and 5 small. Doesn't sit quite right on ATA armor so I may need a little bit of heat Quote
troopermaster Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) I go for 1x large and 5x small ribs (taller troopers can leave less small ribs). You should really trim the border completely away on the front end of the strap. This allows it to contour better to the shape of the chest when you clamp and glue it in place.
