GF and AP Helmet Differences

I just checked mine against those numbers but didn't bother with the crest measurements as I would be guessing where to start measuring

 

TM:

Base: 29.5" (measured just above brow trim)

Ear to ear: 14 1/4"

 

TE2: base 30" (measured just above brown trim)

 

You guys got of pix of where exactly you are taking these other measurements?

That's interesting. The measurements I was given of the TE without the brow trim on and measured at the lowest point of the dome was 29". How come the TE2 is bigger?

Perhaps the pull? I have two - will measure both & post pix today.

The sharpness/softness wouldn't make any difference to the overall size of the dome. Here is the pic I was sent a while back showing where the 29" measurement was taken from. As you can see, it is at the very lowest point of the dome without going onto the back plate or over the brow trim.

Same address as what Jez....the armour? I am not sure what you meant by that comment

 

Soprry mate didnt mean to be bvague. I meant that I thought that AP helmets (and armour) were shipped from the same phyical address as GF used to use (in Canada).

 

Maybe this was just during the handover

It's entirely possible-- my AP was shipped from Montreal.

I measured it again and still get 30". I measured the other TE2 I have and the measurement is identical. Any other measurements you want done? Seeing the line helps.

Paul we definitely need another "bringing of the helmets" party so we can do pics and measurements. I'm still mad that my pic of all the helmets came out blurry.

It would be so helpful to see the helmets together (front and side pics). It would help me to understand the differences in the helmets.
