Ripcode[501st] Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks to a good friend, I got this Sterling for a very fair price! It will make a great base for my accurate ANH build up! The scope is resin and wll be replaced. I'll also need more accurate t-track, then the Hengstler counter and lastly the cylinders.... you know all the easy stuff.... Quote
Ripcode[501st] Posted November 30, 2012 Author Report Posted November 30, 2012 (edited) Nice upgrade! So true! And for those of you who don't know, the real Sterling in the third pic is the one on the bottom...... Edited November 30, 2012 by Ripcode Quote
Jehudah Design Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Wow, that was sure a score. How much did it cost? I'd love to get one I've been wondering a while, what is the small part on the clip against the housing for? Quote
stormtrooperguy[501st] Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Nice! I love my sterling at the beginning of troops and hate it at the end! Quote
Rezablad3[TK] Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 man that is nice........ Quote
jkno Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 Congrats! A real Sterling is the closest thing to owning a screen used prop Quote

I'd love to get one I've been wondering a while, what is the small part on the clip against the housing for? Not much more than a Hyperfirm... But that was at the "good friend price". What part are you talking about? Nice! I love my sterling at the beginning of troops and hate it at the end! You actually troop with your Sterling? When I ever finish my TK, I have a Hyperfirm for that. Quote
Jehudah Design Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 What part are you talking about? There's a small part on the backside of the clip, next to the edge of the clip housing. Always wondered what that thing did, some sort of clip ejection leaf spring or something? Quote
Sonnenschein Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 So true! And for those of you who don't know, the real Sterling in the third pic is the one on the bottom...... Are you sure? Quote

The large button is the magazine release and the small part on the side of the mag is the retaining clip. Are any of those what you are wondering about? Nice score Michael! Any moving parts other than the stock? Quote
Ripcode[501st] Posted December 11, 2012 Author Report Posted December 11, 2012 Nice score Michael! Any moving parts other than the stock? The trigger and safety operate. The magazine is removeable. The endcap is removeable. The bolt appears to be welded in place and I can't move it. Quote
