Fizilbert[TK] Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 I'm working on the thighs for my ATA kit. When assembling it I have had to go with a 30mm strip for the front, and on the back, which is pictured here, I am looking at having to do a 40mm strip. My question is will this be ok and does it look ok? Image links un recoverable Quote
Dday[501st] Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 It is a bit big, but as I have seen said several times if it's required due to the size of your legs, it is acceptable. The biggest thing is the proportions. You have done the ridges well so the coverstrip is right on the edge and as long as both sides mimic that, you should have no problem. Quote
SCTrooper[TK] Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 This is how TM does larger thighs, scroll down and take a look. The front looks 25-30mm and the back is a wedge shape to your size. If TM did it this way you cant go wrong. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21985-15-mm-tm-herostunt-with-original-strapping/ Quote
Fizilbert[TK] Posted November 27, 2012 Author Report Posted November 27, 2012 Thanks, that wedge shape is a neat idea, and really hard to notice unless you are looking for it. Quote
LadyInWhite[TK] Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Troopers come in all shapes, sizes, and genders... as long as you're human and the thighs fit your human size, then what I see above looks pretty darn good Quote
Nicky Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 How dare you exclude my species, Ingrid. Mawgs make great stormtroopers once we figured out how to tuck in our tail. Quote
Mogwai[TK] Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 My thighs have a 27mm Strip for the front and a 40mm strip on the back. Works fine! Quote
