SuperTrooper Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 It's going to depend on the story line. TX are special operations, so if they are specialist out side of the normal troopers they will probably be a TX. If they are normal generic troops they will probably be a TK. Of course this is just my speculation. Quote
scifiwarri0r Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 there is nothing in the game guide. All the pics are realy bad quality.I am at the midnight opening on my freind's iphone. Quote

Of course this is just my speculation. Ā Not sure this logic works. HWT's are TD, not TX. Is the TK carrying the DLT-19 on the Falcon "special"? Or the TK's with space packs? I'd say they're TK's with options. Quote
Peregrinus Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Right. But the EVO Trooper and Jump Trooper are most definitely sculpted differently from a standard TK. Those should probably be TXes. Ā --Jonah Quote
rapstertee Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I saw the Force Unleashed Trooper figures ion a store todsy, and I like the guy withthe blue paint detail. IMHO, they are canon, as they're from a legitimate Lucasfilm product. Whether or not the 501st choose to acept them is their decision, but I didn't get my TK armour just to join the 501st - if they didn't clear me (for any reason) I'd still wear it with pride, and I'm sure as the game gathers popularity, we'll be seeing a lot of TK variants in the real world. I won't look down on anyone as long as they've put time, money and care into their costume. Ā A painted TK would be appealing to me to do if I wanted a change from all white - at present, my choices are Sandy or ESB, ROTJ. I don't really wanna dirty mine up so a blue striping job would be nice. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 Actually they're on track to be accepted. We just need a final CRL submission text & photos is all. Quote

Murray1134[501st] Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 Looks good. Should this one be shiny or should he be weathered up a bit? This paint job is really growing on me. It would be nice to give us more options for armor. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 Looking good! Note you'll need to put blue on the boots too. Has anyone gotten any screen grabs yet? That would be really useful to lock down some of the details. Certain things we haven't see are what the back looks like, and what really the ab section looks like. Ā For this to become an approved costume we need to have that I believe. Ā As far as weathered vs. un-weathered, I'd say for now either should be OK, though scuffs would be encouraged. Ā I agree - the paint is starting to grow on me as well. Quote
Rev. Vader[TK] Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 the back is the same design as the front, i have that done too i will post pics of it tomorrow. and yeah i am working a something for the boots that have the stripes. i figure i will weather it in the near future. thanks for the feed back. Rev. Vader[TK] Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 (edited) here are some pics of my back plate and my boots, looking at the figure it seemed to be raised in the areas where the stripes were so i kind of went with that idea and made my stripes velcro. Murray1134[501st] Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I was playing the game last night and tried to pay special attention to the commanders paint scheme. For once, I must say it looks like Hasbro nailed it exactly. Ā It really does look like standard ANH/ESB construction but with the "skittlized" paint scheme. Ā Probably, a good thing that I can't afford another kit, because I would probably be working on one of these. Quote

Imperial Knight Jajj Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 that looks pretty cool... i like it... im sure my two cents dosnt mean anything... but ... i still think it looks pretty cool... and being a member of the 501st i guess everyone would have to paint theirs blue... ok...maybe not... Ā my other two cents will go for whoever decides to do this... i couldnt help notice a little bleed over of the paint... i have read on one of these forums that electical tape works best for taping off your paint area and it doesnt allow the paint to bleed underneath the tape... and it doesnt leave any sticky residue... i use this method on my bucket and it worked great... Ā just my four cents worth... Ā armor/paint scheme looks great dude... Quote
Rev. Vader[TK] Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 yeah i have actually gotten the bleeding off (Mr. Clean Magic erasers work very well). i can post some more pics. Ā I am already a 501st member (SL9918) but was looking and waiting to see if we were going to approve the commander too! there are 3 sources for this character now, game, toy, and comic. so whats the process from here? Ā thanks guys Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 (edited) Hi Mike, Ā The next step is for us to compile the visual sources: I put a thread in this area for that purpose - guys please feel free to post pix! --------- Ā Second is using this pix to update the CRL draft we started (add comments guys!) ------------- Ā One we feel this is really tight Terrell on behalf the detachment will submit it to the LMO (Rhonda) for approval, along with your guys' costume pix. Ā In addition to that your GML still submits your application and pictures as normal. New costumes don't have to have a CRL to get approved, but it makes the process smoother. Ā The first Rancor Keeper got approved a few months ago without a CRL or detachment support. He is local to me as well so I'm familiar with the process. Also Legion Council has to approve the new costume as well. Quote

Murray1134[501st] Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Anyone checked the graphic novel to see if these guys show up in it? Ā It would be a lot easier to get screen caps if they had released a PC version of this game. Quote
TK-1422 Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Anyone checked the graphic novel to see if these guys show up in it? Ā They don't (although I thing I saw the shoes... LOL).
