Hey there! Well opinions vary but I think an important question is to ask yourself are you going for 501st acceptance or one of the awarded levels, EIB or Centurion. The awarded levels require particular kinds of gloves.

Here is a link to the CRL if you haven't seen it:

For example I am going Centurion so I went with this option:

...and while I'm at it why not throw you a thread that will help with that and other items you may need :D :

I use black chemical gloves with soft cotton gloves inside, seems to stop the sweating and they are washable

Look at that, Karin doesn't need to plug her gloves because other people do it for her! I'd recommend going for her gloves even if you aren't interested in one of the higher standard awards.

Thanks! There's no need for "shameless" plugs :)

But you're right. They are a LOT smaller than the FX ones, and because of the flexibility more comfyand safer (no hard corner sor edges)

I've got a question about those gloves. I just got what I think are the same kind as yours, from Trooperbay, but I noticed that they (like yours, from what I can tell in the pictures) have a slight bumpy texture on the fingers and palm. But the costume requirements say that the fingers must be non-textured. On the other hand, the picture that is used as an illustration of the gloves on the costume requirements also has some texture on the fingers! Do you know what the deal with finger texture is? Is it OK after all? Or when they say texture, are they talking about something other than the kind of bumpy texture I'm talking about?

Error in the text. Don't worry about the textured fingers.

I was wondering if the black tattooist gloves might work. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If that is the really skin tight vinyl gloves like doctors use, I really wouldn't recommend it. Those are for one-time-use and will not stand up for trooping or fit a pair of inside glove liners to soak up the sweat.
