geordietrooper Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 cheers mathias it just goes to show they are still out there to be found hiding in peoples cupboards Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) Would love to get my hands on a pair myself. I do check ebay once in a while, but not nearly as much as I should. And I bet that once I'll find a pair the seller will only ship domestic! Edited November 19, 2012 by Locitus Grammar Quote
geordietrooper Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 And I bet that the once time I'll find a pair the seller will only ship domestic! that would suck big time but you could maybe get them shipped to someone else & then to you Quote
troopermaster Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) Nice find I just snagged another pair myself. This time a UK 10.5. They are out there if you keep looking. Edited January 22, 2022 by gmrhodes13 photo updated Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 There's just no stopping you Paul! Quote
Seeker[TK] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Nice! what's the exact names you guys are looking for? I want one of these soo bad. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 I'm just looking for vintage chelsea boots on ebay.co.uk. But since I haven't found any maybe that's what's wrong. Quote
Seeker[TK] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Yeah - I bought a pair of tk boots and they just don't cut it. way off in so many ways. I like the rigidness of these boots and the look of the sole. It has that wooden look to them. just the real ones. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 The boots posted are the original model used, so it ought to be right. I'm trooping in tkboots as well, but would not mind upgrading. If I got a pair I'd troop in them too, not just keep them for display (I don't have a display to use them in either). But maybe I should upgrade my armour before then anyway. Quote
Seeker[TK] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Yep they look awesome these two boots. Maybe TM and Gordie will chime in with names. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 We got some more pictures of original boots (thanks to TM) in our ref gallery if you want a closer look. Quote
Seeker[TK] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Yep - downloaded a while back. Thank you. Keep a look out for my EIB and Centurion sometime in the middle of January. Quote
troopermaster Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 I'm just looking for vintage chelsea boots on ebay.co.uk. But since I haven't found any maybe that's what's wrong. That's right. Just drop the vintage and you will have many more to view. It is a pain in the rear looking through hundreds of old boots, but these things don't just drop into your lap, so those who really want them will have to search hard. Quote
Seeker[TK] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Thanks TM - so just Vintage Chelsea Boots? Correct? Quote
TK-42779[501st] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 So do you all prefer the self dyed look because of the film accuracy or do you like these boots because you prefer a higher quality boots in general? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Seeker[TK] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 So do you all prefer the self dyed look because of the film accuracy or do you like these boots because you prefer a higher quality boots in general? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 I would say both. I like the higher quality leather and sole, plus once you dye em, they look pretty dead on accurate. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Hopefully someone will spill the beans on the actual name to use. It can't remain secret forever. I'd love to score a pair too... Quote
troopermaster Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Of all the six pairs I have found, only one was advertised using the brand name. All the rest were spotted by eye. Most boots don't have the brand visable inside since they are well used and the markings have worn away. Knowing the brand won't automatically get you a pair. You have to search long and hard to find these boots. Quote
geordietrooper Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 Nice find ta very much Of all the six pairs I have found, only one was advertised using the brand name so out of the six pairs which pair had the brand name was it pair 1 or 2 or ? i was lucky getting mine as they were local to me so no shipping i just want someone to solve the mic tip mystery now lol Quote
