I need help strapping the back plate and the chest piece together

My armor is almost complete but I need to finish my back plate and chest plate. I have the shoulder straps all done and glued on but want to close it on the sides. If I don't strap it to the ab plate do I just close the sides with elastic to keep it together? I can't seem to find a tutorial on it other than strapping it to the ab plate. HELP!!!!!!

Strap the chest with elastic to the ab plate, and strap the back with elastic to the kidney.

I wouldn't suggest putting a strap between the chest and your back. It just doesn't look right.

 

Keep your chest down with two elastic straps from the chest to the ab... kinda like Carlos' in this post. Or this image from TM:

 

 

Your sides should be held together with straps/snaps between your ab and kidney.

I agree- I am not as fond of the strap connecting the chest and back. This pic shows you what you can do!

Nylon has no give, elastic = comfort and no wardrobe malfunction
