battery Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Hey guys, completely new to building and have what might be a stupid question but i want to make sure before i go ahead and possibly mess something up- I'm about to glue my biceps and i want to make sure i'm doing it right, holding the two piece together produces this, am i supposed to just ignore that it doesn't match up much and just trim it once glued to make it line up? RS propmaster armour if anyone is wondering. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Trim first, glue second. You probably need to do once side at the time. Quote
battery Posted October 16, 2012 Author Report Posted October 16, 2012 just feels as if i am dramatically altering the left piece in the photo if i trim it until it matches with the right piece am i overthinking this? should i just start hacking away til it aligns? Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Trim the left part until you have the girth that fits you snuggly and then glue the halves together. Quite easy to do, but don't be afraid to keep asking if you run into any obstacles. Quote
FunkyTrigger[TK] Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Hi Battery, Your question is quite valid. If you glued the two halts as they came, Then they would line up (not perfectly but close) But, the skill of armour building is to trim it to fit you. You look as though you are shrinking the bicep to suit your sizes arms. As a result the halves should meet up as you have shown. You will indeed have to trim them to fit you and to try and carry off the contours. Good luck Quote
