FunkyTrigger[TK] Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 May I ask how wide the metal clips are on your TD? Quote
Vader Rocks Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Posted October 10, 2012 They're about 1 1/2" wide Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) They're about 1 1/2" wide Just a heads up that the CRL for EiB calls for approx. 1", so they may be a little wide... I dunno if that will prohibit the approval (Matthias's call) but definitely worth thinning down to look nicer. Edit: I totally forgot to say: Good Luck Trooper! Vader Rocks Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Posted October 10, 2012 Thanks for the heads up. I originally had the tableclothe clamps on there, but they were only 1/2" wide. Then I tried to get aluminum pieces to form that I had seen some troopers do, but I found it a little hard to come by, then i found these money clips and figured they were about the right size. And thanks for the well wishes Quote
jnnfr72[TK] Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 Yay Jim! We're rooting for yah! You've done some really good work. I got my O2 canister clips from somebody on this site... I can't remember, but I'll look him up, in case you need to make some changes. Quote
captsafe66[Admin] Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Looks Great Jim!! Let me know if you can't find any clips, I can make some 1" ones for you. Gook luck Trooper!! Quote
Vader Rocks Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 Thanks guys. Hope to add another EI trooper to the garrison and the fire team. Quote
Mogwai[TK] Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Looks Good Trooper, Good Luck! Quote
jnnfr72[TK] Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Jesse is not making the clips anymore, so looks like Mark will be! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Just a heads up that the CRL for EiB calls for approx. 1", so they may be a little wide... I dunno if that will prohibit the approval (Mathias's call) but definitely worth thinning down to look nicer. Edit: I totally forgot to say: Good Luck Trooper! Accurate clips are 1.8" so the ones he has now is not that bad. But since it's attached to an AM TD it will never be really accurate either way. Jim, all things considered, the only thing I can recommend is to maybe remove some of the "wings" of the chest piece that wraps around you chest, and an upgraded TD would be a nice gift to yourself for christmas. Approved. Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Congrats trooper!!! I'm glad the clips did not hold things up!!' Quote
