JEDISTAR[TK] Posted October 8, 2012 Author Report Posted October 8, 2012 I apologize for not having all the body shots added, the file sizes ended up being too big so we're correcting it as we speak. As soon as we get it done they will be reposted, again sorry for the delay. Quote
Brent Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 Nice job! Try posting the pictures to photobucket and linking them using [img=http://path/to.jpg] Quote
Minuteman Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 (edited) Try to upload your photos to photobucket.com. ThatĆĀ“s the easiest way. Ā *too late * Edited October 8, 2012 by Minuteman Quote

captsafe66[Admin] Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 Looks Great Trooper!! Ā Good Luck!! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 Please keep everything in a single thread and do not use blurry pictures in your application. Ā (Yes, I deleted your other thread) Quote
JEDISTAR[TK] Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Ok again gents, I apologize for the issues..we don't do this alot, had to figure things out. I appreciate the help and comments so far. Thanks for your time. Quote
Dazauto[TK] Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Looking great Charlie, good luck. Just noticed your TK ID is one below mine bro Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Not bad, but has room for improvement. Assuming that you haven't changed your arms and bicep since your EIB application it's clear that they are (from what I can tell) too large for your arms and could be slimmed down for a better, sleeker look. Ā You have some overlap between the back and kidney that can be fixed with shorter straps between chest and back. You also have a chunk of return edge at the bottom of the sniper knee plate that shouldn't be there. Quote
JEDISTAR[TK] Posted October 12, 2012 Author Report Posted October 12, 2012 Mathias, I can easily trim the spot on the sniper plate and re-adjust my back-to-kidney plate gap, but due to my oversized forearms I can't trim those down anymore or I won't be able to get my hands thru them. They fit me perfectly, I spent alot of time when I put them together for my EIB app, I went back and noticed Mason said everything looked great. I'm hoping you can take this into consideration, but I would like to know if that will hold me back from getting Centurion. Thank you for your time. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 I can only go with what I see, and your arms look over sized, but if you say that they aren't then that's okey. Ā If you fix the other things I pointed out then you should be all good to go. Quote
Front-a-Little Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 Hey there, Ā the bucket shot where you light up the bucket to show the lenses: Looks like there are no lenses in your helmet at all. Is this because the material is that thin ? If so, make sure your eyes aren't visible. Ā Good luck with Centurion, very nice looking armor ! Quote
Toddo[TK] Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 I can attest to the fact that Charlie has monster Popeye forearms Quote
JEDISTAR[TK] Posted October 12, 2012 Author Report Posted October 12, 2012 Good morning gents, Patrick..I tried several different ways of shining light thru my lid to show the green lenses and I think it has more to do with the lighting than anything if you look at my EIB app its a different shot. They are thick and no one can see me, ATA sends nice lenses with his lids. Thanks for the comps too! Toddster..lol! I think being a pro drummer has something to do with my forearms too along with eating my spinach Mathias, I went to work on my sniper plate last nite and not sure how much you need off to be good. I haven't seen any other shots in a Centurion app concerning this so can you illustrate something for me please? Thank you for your assistance, Charlie. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 You can remove all of the bottom return on the knee plate without worry. Quote
Brent Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 There are some great reference pictures for the sniper plate here: http://www.whitearmo...nee-a-new-hope/ Ā The plate just goes down straight against the knee without bending back in. Ā Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 Yay people are using our gallery! Ā Here's another one. Quote
JEDISTAR[TK] Posted October 14, 2012 Author Report Posted October 14, 2012 Mathias, here are my pics from the fixin's I needed to do. I like the results! Ā Quote
FunkyTrigger[TK] Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 I like the overall look of your armour on you. The size, shape and gaps look good. I'm glad I don't have the hard decision of making the final call. I was a little concerned about the cut line that you have chosen on the right side of your sniper plate. The left side Is a traditional cut line. Good luck trooper Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 I wish it had been easier to spot in the earlier photos so you didn't have to take off your knee place once again. And I'm not going to force you, but if you want, you should take it off again and trim the edges of the knee plate so that they don't temper out, but end in a 90 degree angle, like this: Ā You do as you wish, and I'll hope that ATA some day makes a marking or something how to trim the knee plate properly. This is a very common thing with people's ATA knees. Ā Approved. Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Congrats Charlie! Welcome to Centurion!! Quote
Toddo[TK] Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Yay Charlie! Congratulations on your Centurion status. I can't wait to troop with you again soon. Quote
