stormtrooper_build Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) hi guys. i was hunting through some tubs in the shed last night and came across these in a tin mix in with all other bits and bobs. i picked out all the split rivets that i could find and the other bits above that you can see in the picture. anyways i was wondering if any of these would be any good for use on say the stormtrooper Armour? thanks in advance guys.......... Clamps[TK] Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 what is the diameter of the top of the rivets found? Quote
Spectre Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 If the split rivets have a 7mm head they are good. (or 8mm..one of the two. Somone correct me if I am wrong. ) Quote
stormtrooper_build Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) here is some measurements that i took. Edited January 21, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
Sonnenschein Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 The fourth from the right seems perfect Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 the 8MM head x 11MM height is comparable to the ones Seantrooper sells in the sales area. I got some from him and they worked great. the 9MM tall should work fine too. These will work for the Ab/Kidney split rivet Centurion requirement as well as the thigh ammo belt connection. Quote
stormtrooper_build Posted October 7, 2012 Author Report Posted October 7, 2012 thanks Charles....... looking through the tub i have.... 17 of the 11x8 21 of the 9x8 and there is 7 that i didn't notice before of 7mm high x 8mm wide. Quote
bigironvault Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 What charles said, unless you are using them to pin something down, go with the less deep rivet because if you dont rivet it right the deeper one will make the head rotate. Quote
