Screen or trooping?

Alright, so I am getting an RS Props kit with original brackets. This is my first kit, and I've seen a lot about snaps in the threads here. I'm just wondering for trooping is it better to have the brackets or snaps?

I'm going snaps but I have seen that in theads that they can loosen with time, not that much trouble to change. The brackets would be more screen accurate and really they shouldn't come off as they are held on by nuts and bolts to the armor. Think it's just up to you which you would like to use.

all material stretches over time so there is a chance you would have to replace strapping at some point anyway.

 

It boils down to accuracy or not.

the brackets can tear the armor, while snaps might not be so destructive in certain situations.

Hey Gordon...which material get you? ABS or PVC

I've not seen anything yet on an ABS material like cracks....with brackets.

yep look at the RS screen used armour ,alot of the bolts have been moved and replaced because of tearing.Though I still would go for the brackets over snaps.

At the film shooting, they did stunts with the armours...we not...we troop with the stuff, not more.

I am getting the PVC kit, so I am kinda hoping that with that material it will be more durable.

Both of you will be just fine. ABS or PVC, original style brackets or snaps. Both methods and materials are great.
