81artmonk Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 I was looking at the tutorial on how to assemble the ammo belt to the cavas belt, and they off set the ammo belt. It's not centered on the cavas. Why is this? What are the exact measurements on installing the ammo belt to the canvas belt? Quote
TrooperJay Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) Are you speaking in terms off offset along the length of the belt (left and right) or offset of up and down? (top and bottom of belt). Some troopers' belts show both, due to sizing and comfortability. Also fitment onto the armor, such as a split cod piece etc. Edited September 23, 2012 by TrooperJay Quote
TK5492[TK] Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 I have never seen it offset before. It may have something to do with the side of the belt that will make the overlap. I wouldn't reccomend it though. Just center it. That's what I've always done and never had an issue. Quote
TrooperJay Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Agreed Tyler. Avoid any problems down the road. Quote

If I remember correctly the one I viewed had you measure 20 inches from the left/right which would put it off center of the belt. from what I have been reading in this post, just center the belt on the canvas seems to be the advice. samskara Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I wouldn't base off others' measurements for something like the belt because different sized troopers require different sized belts. I just centered mine. Quote
