Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) 2012

I'm really glad to have labor day off, because this has been an intense weekend.

 

This was my first convention with armor. It wasn't an official 501st troop, but I thought I'd share some of the memorable moments

 

@anphrax and I spent some time together on Friday. We got up on stage and played some Dance Central 3. We drew a huge crowd and it was a lot of fun (and exhausting).

 

 

Later when we left the convention center we danced along to some street musicians. They were improvising as they went so I'm pretty sure they had no plans on ever putting in a stopping point in the music once we started dancing so it went for what seemed like forever before we finally bowed out.

 

This is what got us in to the headline for the NBC News story on PAX: PAX welcomes 70,000 gamers (and dancing Stormtroopers) home

 

 

Big thanks to my wife Brieanne and some of our friends (Erik, Hope, & Jeremy) who helped as spotters throughout the event. Even in the chaos of a huge event like this I was pretty comfortable moving around. They also helped carry a spare blaster which a lot of people loved to use for their pictures

For some reason these castle crashers came equipped with a light saber.

 

And there were even some dragons that needed slaying.

Next year they are having a PAX in Austrialia, so you will be right in between two of them and you can take your pick. No word yet on whether Frontalot will be attending
