walt[501st] Posted September 2, 2012 Author Report Posted September 2, 2012 My rt mod does...I guess this one should not....if that's what your saying.......oh boy why do I have to such fat hands:-( Quote
DudeSidious Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) your talking about clam shelling your forearms, but you shouldn't have to. I have big hands and I got them to fit,its a tight squeeze on and off but they fit.I used a 16mm cover strips for a bit of extra room though you can make the strips a little bigger if you want. just remember to remove all of the return edge at the wrist, this helps a lot. Ā For the shins I used the original closure method hooks and elastic or you can use Velcro. Ā Ā The cover strip here is 25mm.You can see the holes for the hooks use here. For the Velcro method, just run a strip of heavy duty Velcro down the length of the shin armor, male side facing out away from your body Ā Edited January 23, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
craig225[TK] Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) I used this set-up on my AP shins Ā --------- The overhang on the inner joining strip means the outer and inner segments of the shin still butt and the outer cover strip hides the join. Ā ----------- Ā You could probably adapt for the inner join of a forearm, but I've not tried. Ā C Edited January 23, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 1 Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 lots of people with large hands need clamshell forearms just like a shin part. Quote
walt[501st] Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 Thanks bonds for understanding...but get back to work on that E 11 molds!!! Quote
walt[501st] Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 ok....for the shins...is this right.....if not please correct me with the A abd B set up correctly Quote
DudeSidious Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 You've got the shins back to front. For mine I did swap the parts over, I just thought they went together better that way. However how you've got them is how RS build there's only you have got yours on the wrong legs. Quote
walt[501st] Posted September 4, 2012 Author Report Posted September 4, 2012 I agree with you....it does feel better Quote
