gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 13, 2012 Author Report Posted September 13, 2012 The grip comes seperate to the trigger and trigger guard, normally they are to be glued on, I decided to make mine functional, not that hard to do Quote

gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 14, 2012 Author Report Posted September 14, 2012 Thanks for all of the praise guys, makes me feel like I'm on the right track Front sight glued on I have made the side selector so I can adjust the setting Quote
TK-42779[501st] Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Holy hell, I just bought a Hyperfirm and (no offence, Lewis!) now I have blaster envy. lol Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 14, 2012 Author Report Posted September 14, 2012 Armor envy is worse lol Just tidying up a bit of the electrics, lazer is in the front. Looks good when you fire at something you can see where you have hit I sourced the lazer from this builders level I found a plastic bottle that just fits over the front piece, takes up the gap in the pipe, shame the pipe in Aus is a bit bigger, not to worry fits snuggly and allows me to be able to take the lights out if one blows. I used a small piece of wire to hold the two hi-bright leds, keeps them central in the barrel. And here the lights working Quote
TK-42779[501st] Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 lol I love the halway scene picture. Good thread, man. Some great info here. Quote

gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 First fit of painted pieces, now on to a bit of weathering then a coat of satin sealer, may have to wait a few days, back to cold wet weather this week Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 With a bit of weathering Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 ah man, you got out in front of me!!! I need to cut my hengstler bracket still and paint before I can full assemble. Let's see some photos from the other side too!! Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 Ahhhh yes but you have the armor lol. Other side pic Going to try give it a coat of satin clear to lock in the weathering, hope this afternoon if if warms up. Then after it has dried I have to strip it down again, put in the electronics and internals then assemble again. L bracket and paint, shouldn't take you long On 9/18/2012 at 10:51 AM, chookaboom said: ah man, you got out in front of me!!! gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 Oh and extended, I'm glad I did the extra metal work Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Looks good! Although technically the grip cannot have any worn metal weathering since the sterling grips are plastic. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 Thanks Mathias, didn't know about the grip, just about to fix that now Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Same goes for the T-track. Although in an idealistic way they would have to be metal to act as cooling fins. Plastic doesn't transfer heat very well. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 And only the back half of the rear sight has the serrated edge: Quote
