TK_Duke Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Well just got my ATA helemt in the mail and it looks great!!!!! Im going to start to mark it all out and start cutting. I know I seen some posts on here about the color testors paints used??? I cant seem to find that post again, Im going to hand paint the details in. Could somebody help with that post? Also does anybody have a stencil for the blue tube vents????? Thanks in advance guys! Pictures to come SOON!!! Quote
KO22[TK] Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 I used these templates by printing them out and then cutting out some tape. it was a little messy but it did the job. I wasn't able to get all of the stripes on so a settled for 11 as any more didn't look very good. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14867 As far as color I used this thread to help me. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=8117 I hope this helps! gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Hi found good info here http://www.tk1336.com/howto.html Quote
Valgars[TK] Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 You can get them from trooperbay. Just under $7.00us. He also has the "Hand painted look" decals which are now acceptable for centurion if I read right (grunts and says it should have stayed hand painted but I don't have Tk digits so I didn't throw in my 2 cents). G5Captain Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 I did the Trooperbay stencils and they worked great. He also sells all four colors of Humbrol paint that you will need for the kit as a set. I also agree that it should be hand painted for Centurion. Its not that hard. Chris Quote
TK_Duke Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 Here it is so far, let me know what you guys think, advice please! Thank you! http://s1105.photobucket.com/albums/h343/magnum440gl01/ATA%20build/ Quote
HawkTrooper Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 The teeth could use a little more trimming, but overall it looks just fine to me Quote
TK_Duke Posted July 24, 2012 Author Report Posted July 24, 2012 Ok cool, ill take some more off the teeth. More pictures to come in the nrxt day or so when I have done more to it. I just got all the correct colors of paint and im going to hand paint " old school" the helmet :-) Quote
Potty Meister Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 I agree for the teeth. trim a bit more. I used testors paint and the trooperbay stencils on mine. Had to do a bit of cleanup on the tube stripes, but it's nothing a toothpick and some thinner can't handle. Quote
skyone Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) i You can get them from trooperbay. Just under $7.00us. Valgars[TK] Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 You may want to consult one of the more senior members here on the FISD. If I'm not mistaken ATA has TE/TE2 lineage I'm not sure which sticker set would work best for ATA. Quote
LChute1158 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 the Dave M stickers from trooperbay Quote
DroidHunter Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Yep. Dave M if you go the sticker route. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 I have two ATA buckets and went Dave M decals on both, they look at fit great Quote
