I have begun to make modifications to my armor for EIB status. I know the belt corners need to be cut at a 45 degree angle, but is there an exact measurement from the corner where I need to make the cut?

I have searched the forumn, but have not been able to find a number.

Thanks! :tkrotj:

yes we will come to your photos and approve or not.

look at screenshots to get the correct dimensions

don't take advice from someone just pushing numbers.

sorry charlie but I need to see photos

of frank's belt before I can give him an exact screen used dimension.

BTW charlie... do you have armor? I can't see any photos of your belt?

1/2" is actually too large!!!

don't cut 1/2" off the corner.

you need to compare a screenshot of a real belt and use that as a basis

for comparing it for your personal belt plastic.

Vern is correct, in that you want to be careful not to overtrim the belt corners. You can eyeball the correct dimensions by looking at the archive photos as well as screen caps. My personal rule of thumb is not to cut so much that your plastic belt becomes narrower than your cloth belt, they should be roughly the same width.

But again, the best thing to do is to look at the screen caps and archive photos. :)

I trim 10mm in from the top and bottom and 13mm in from the sides. I don't think there is any set measurement here, but most belts seem to have slightly more off the sides than the top and bottom. Here is an original ANH belt for reference.

Thanks for the picture Paul and for everybodys advice. I will go ahead and make marks where I should cut based on the photos and other advice, then post some pics before I actually cut. :smiley-sw013:
