I bought ATA armor and they came with hovi mic tips. Are these correct?

Yes, those are just fine.

Really quick, what about painting them? Is there a certain way to paint the hovi mic tips? It looks like to top rim of the mics are painted silver or something.

The mic tips are painted black. The white that you can see around the rim is just weathering. This is where the paint chipped off of the originals.

I forgot: All helmet kits (except AP) come with them

the best hovie pa tips come from mark at cfo... you can get em at trooperbay.

trooperbay sells 2 kinds of tips, his own called "mike" tips... and mark's from cfo.

the "mike tip" is a one part budget item, and the cfo tip is the 3 part cast from original.

the cfo tip is hands down the best tip around!

now even AP helmets can be ordered with them.

So on the ESB mic tips we can Paint the inside black as well ?? and thats fine for Approval as long as the fronts "rims" are weathered "white"

The entire inside should actually be white. Plan on painting the outsides of the mic tips at the same time you paint the vocoder  on your lid. Both should be a matte black (not flat...not gloss) To achieve this, mix 2/3 flat black with 1/3 gloss black.
