Also paid the trooperbay a visit and ordered some extra stuff so I can make a centurion better do it right to begin with right So many parts Started to tape so it would be easier to cut the overlaying plastic Start cutting big thanks to TS-4037 from Nordic Garrison for the risky job Thats a lot of plastic!!! darksideemt Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Just fyi, the wand on the dremel makes life a lot easier. Good luck! Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Welcome Dennis! I took the liberty of moving and renaming your topic since I think this will mostly be a build thread anyway. Nice to have you here! Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Posted May 9, 2012 Welcome Dennis! I took the liberty of moving and renaming your topic since I think this will mostly be a build thread anyway. Nice to have you here! Thank you... I couldnt find where to make the topic so Im glad you did it for me Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted May 10, 2012 Author Report Posted May 10, 2012 Got my undersuit today ordered it last Sunday... just four days... wow Quote
troopermaster Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 I've never seen tape used like that before. Any particular reason for it? Scissors can cut the 1.5mm ABS easily. I haven't found the need for a Dremel with this plastic, so be careful with it. And, as Travis said, the wand is very useful. Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 As Paul said, scissors are very usefull! I trimmed more or less my entire kit with Lexan scissors. Search around and you should be able to find them cuite cheap. Think I paid 50-60 DKR for mine. Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted May 10, 2012 Author Report Posted May 10, 2012 Actually I have been using the knife more then the dremel... more accurate and easier to work with... works a a charm Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 And less plastic dust everywhere! Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted September 22, 2012 Author Report Posted September 22, 2012 Well its time for an update I think What you see is basically how far I have gotten... but I have trimmed all pieces and glued them together... and glued on the strapping pieces to, So tomorrow we´ll measure the bands and turn me into a trooper Quote

Dennis[TK] Posted December 23, 2012 Author Report Posted December 23, 2012 Thanks painting the helmet right now... and watching some good Christmas TV ^^ One of the best Christmeses for a long time Quote
Geaux Saints[TK] Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 One of the most rewarding parts of my build was hand painting my helmet. I highly suggest it. It looks so good when you're done. Good luck! Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 Question... If I am going with an DLT blaster... do I still need a holster to get approved 501st membership? Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 And oh... I´m almost finished to Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 Tha Question... If I am going with an DLT blaster... do I still need a holster to get approved 501st membership? Thats a good question, as the DLT and E-11 are both an option not a must, even as an option as I read it you still need a holster but I would shoot the DO a pm Locitus Quote
Dennis[TK] Posted February 19, 2013 Author Report Posted February 19, 2013 I think the option is that you can choose while you are trooping not to wear a holster if you are going with a DLT... but for membership you need to post with a holster... because it would be canon not to wear one with a DLT... seen in ANH Quote
Nicky Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) I was on a waiting queue for a long time for my holster so I just bought 15 SEK of black synthetic fabric and made a holster for the application and the first troops. It took me one hour to cut and sew along the diagram on this thread. It took me 2 hours to convert to metric units though. It's not tough enough to hold a blaster, and I didn't have any at the time. So if you're going with a dummy holster just for screen accuracy while you'll troup with a DLT, it's something to consider. Edited February 20, 2013 by Nicky Quote
