Hedjii72 Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I have a Hyperfirm E-11, and I'd like to add a D Ring to it. I ordered a D Ring from Trooperbay, but the ring is a closed loop, and it looks like it would be difficult to attach to the Hyperfirm. Has anyone here done this mod, and can you share some insight on how to do it? I was thinking I'd just drill a hole straight through the rubber block on the back and thread both ends of th e D Ring through, but this one from Trooperbay is solid, and unmaleable. Any thoughts? DarkTrooper[TK] Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I cut off about 1/4" off the straight side of the d-ring, drilled through the end cap of the hyperfirm and worked the ring through it. Quote
SolderMaster Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I used a 1/16" drill bit to drill through the end cap. Then I used 2 pliers and bent the D-ring so I could slide it into the hole I drilled. Then, bend back with the pair of pliers. DONE Quote
vecspeed12 Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I used a 1/16" drill bit to drill through the end cap. Then I used 2 pliers and bent the D-ring so I could slide it into the hole I drilled. Then, bend back with the pair of pliers. DONE This is exactly how I did mine. Quote
xaoslord Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) You can see how I did mine on this post in my build thread: http://www.whitearmo...=20#entry226314 Edited May 1, 2012 by xaoslord Quote

tgibson43 Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 I found a 1/16" drill bit a bit - heh, get it - too small. 7/64" worked perfectly for me. Not too big that it moves around but not too small that i was struggling to get it through. Quote
danegeld[501st] Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 sweet now i know what to do when I get my hyperfirm E-11 Quote
