I am ready to go for EIB. I have met all the requirements, although I believe that I may run into an issue during submission due to a technicality.

My but plate is split from my kidney plate as required. However, when I put on my belt it covers up the cut line. I don't know if this is due to my height (5' 6") or what. I cannot simply lower the butt and kidney plate otherwise it will sit too low and create the "tail" look of it sitting too low.

However in the requirements on the CRL page it states that:

A separate kidney plate shall be present, split from the butt plate.

A separate butt plate is required, split from the kidney plate.

So my question is this: seeing that I meet the requirements, will I still be denied approval?

Tyler,

While the belt should sit above the cut around the kidney... it shouldn't be a problem for EIB if you cover the cut with your belt... as long as you show in your app photos a cut exists. For various reasons my belt goes across my butt/kidney cut too.

Aloha,

Thanks Eric.

It always amazes me how quickly my questions get answered. That is good to know. Watch out for my application soon.

As Eric said, it shouldnt be a problem, but a picture says more than a thousand words ;)

if my butt plate sits too low i get the tail look and i HATE it for some reason lol... but yeah, take a picture of how it looks and submit. It should be an easy pass :duim:

Shouldn't be a problem. I had the same issue. Just snap a picture with the belt undone in the back. :)

Believe it or not, about the kidney and Butt plates.....The way the solid one piece Kidney/butt contour/fits to someone's body is different compared to the way separate two pieces contour/fits. You can see it and know , like looking at a Ford to a Chevy, you can tell the difference.

Like everyone said above, as long as there is a separation/split of the kidney and butt plates, you will be good to go...Just take a good pic of the area, if you are worried.

Looking for to seeing you go for your EIB!!!!
