Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 So I just got a batch of E-11 parts from Doopydoo and have started building. 2X Hasbro kits 1X pipe detail kit 1X E-11 resin kit Have started a bit on the first Hasbro kit, that will just be assembled as is. I've also begun on the Complete kit. I'm using E6000 so will have lots of spare time to build several kits at once Still tinkering with a trigger mechanism, and I think I'm going the right way Rest of the parts(except for the extra Hasbro kit) Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 2X Hasbro kits 1X pipe detail kit 1X E-11 resin kit You're going to have an arsenal! I'm green with envy... Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Yeah, that what happens if you order while under the influence of alcohol... I only intended for 1 hasbro kit Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Speaking of an arsenal, I also have theese lying around. The top one is the abomination from Jedirobe/stormtroopercostumes and the other is an SDS. I'll do comparisons when I get the doopy blasters done Quote
arbayer2[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Where'd the tiny Derringer-like blaster come from then? Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Thats a Biker scout, holdout blaster from PA But it doesnt count, as its not in the TK armoury Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Now you just need a SE-14R and DLT-19 Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Yup But it seems the DLT-19 is impossible to get a hold of, unless you live in the US... Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 From where? They dont have it on their website, and they are impossible to reach by email... Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Maybe it's just out temporarily. They used to have it and probably will have it again if you just check back later. Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 I've been looking for 3/4 year now, and its still out of stock. I'm thinking of building one out of lightweight materials, using a tutorial I found in here once. But the E-11 comes first, so I can get my Centurion certificate Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Well, it IS on the web page. They might be made-to-order so I suggest sending them an email anyway. Worst case scenario is nothing happens, so you can't loose really? http://www.doopydoos.com/stormtroopersandtrooper-dlt-19-heavy-blaster-mk2-841-p.asp Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Yeah I have thought about that... Its weird though. There are no problems what so ever, getting what you order, but send them an email with a request to buy something, and they go silent... weird marketing technique Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 25, 2012 Author Report Posted March 25, 2012 A bit of progress Got inspired from another Doopy build Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 25, 2012 Author Report Posted March 25, 2012 Just ordered myself an SE14-R And a little progress on the E-11's Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Just ordered myself an SE14-R Congratulations! I've been meaning to do that for a year but never got around to it. Should really look into that again. Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 25, 2012 Author Report Posted March 25, 2012 Then write shawn now He answers real quick on email Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Well, I'm busy building an EE-3 right now, and buying furniture for my apartment... Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Posted March 26, 2012 Why do you need furniture??? Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 To put my star wars stuff on, of course Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted March 30, 2012 Author Report Posted March 30, 2012 Well... for some reason E6000 failed me comletely on the complete build, so now I'm going to use the same glue as i usually use when assembling resin model kits. The only part that didnt break off was the handle, and the E6000 between the body and the mag housing was still wet after 5 days! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 With resin I think normal CA/super glue will work better. Quote
