TK bondservnt[501st] Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) This thread will contain my buildup photos of the process I'm using to create the e-11 with all original parts. I've started up the entire build with help from my local machinist, blaster hardcore parts sellers on this board, andy and marv are mostly responsible for my scope and hengstler. Erv from plecter labs has his new blastercore v.4 on the way to me. here's a series of photos showing the parts in pre- assembly: the tube started out like this: from HERE cut down mag and magwell preped. magazine detail rear end cap detail: note how I'm leaving the parts connected to assure proper alignment when braized to the end of the tube. detail showing bolt and cocking channel with parts installed. folding stock trunion and trigger group preped for brazing. overall parts layout. note the uncut magazine along with the cut down one. I have a plan to include a rumble motor as a fan to blow smoke out the barrel when the blastercore fires! here's a hint of the device I plan to use: it's a smoke ring toy! http://www.zerotoys.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MBNW Edited February 8, 2012 by TK Bondservnt 2392 Quote

firebladejedi[TK] Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 How much room will the electrics take up in total for this? Quote
MartinSivertsen[501st] Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Wow, this has potential to be a super build! Looking forward to following the progress. Quote
SW1 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 As FBJ said Vern, how much room for the blastercore and other electrics ? Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted February 8, 2012 Author Report Posted February 8, 2012 the entire electronic setup will go in the front of the gun under the T Tracks, with the speaker mounted behind a NON moving bolt. this way the cocking channel is the speaker well, and all the important parts will be mounted in the FRONT instead of at the rear, like most builds. MartinSivertsen[501st] Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Intriguing setup, will be interesting to see how it works out. Quote

automaton[501st] Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Any more updates? I have all my parts ready to go and would love to see more pics of your build before I get started. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted November 9, 2012 Author Report Posted November 9, 2012 sadly in the stormtrooper world, my own projects take a back seat to the troopers I'm helping currently. far too much work to do on other people's armor, blasters and holsters to keep me busy to finish this build even before 2013 hits. all that's left for me to do on this build, and it's a lot! assemble and complete milling on steel tube, clean up template and prep for braizing. find a machinist/gunsmith to help with the prep and braizing of parts to the tube. assemble the blastercore, with wires, led's rumble motor and power packs. assemble charging station install hall switches, and test boards paint, assemble and photograph. lot's of work, time and money left to go!
