TK-9805 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Has anyone had any good solutions for 9-volt battery housings inside the bucket? I noticed the batteries that were powering the fans getting pretty warm after just a couple of minutes. I saw one person had used velcro, but if the batteries are getting this warm this quickly, I don't think the adhesive on the velcro would last long. Any solutions/pics? Thanks! Quote
Butah Fett Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Use the search box for fan wiring. This happens all too often. What you're doing is connecting the + and - from the fan to switch as well as the + and - of the battery. Connect the - from the fan and battery directly (not the switch) then connect the + from the fan and battery to the separate posts on the switch. Quote
triktoys Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Correct, you are shorting out the battery big time Use the search box for fan wiring. This happens all too often. What you're doing is connecting the + and - from the fan to switch as well as the + and - of the battery. Connect the - from the fan and battery directly (not the switch) then connect the + from the fan and battery to the separate posts on the switch. Quote
