No, cap rivets. From the outside they look very much the same.

Ah crap... Already installed split rivets there.

That's all the fiddly bits sorted then. Great job.

I see you're shins at the back are still quite open. Are you planning on heating them up to close them a touch?

I find the elastic/hook ensemble doesn't really have the pulling power to close the gap so I decided to use heat to close the gap as much as possible so the elastic and hook just holds them closed.

did you hook them together and then heat them, or just bent them into shape by hand?

I realized today that my shoulder straps were not the proper 2" wide elastic... Also, since I had already glued them in ... I was finding it nearly impossible to stitch the female side of the shoulder snaps. :B So I ran to the store (for some 2" elastic) today, and hand stitched the snaps before gluing those in again. I also added the front right shoulder snap to make it easier to get in and out of the torso.

I did it by hand in small increments.

Torso is completely finished... as is the rest ... all except for my belt. Still waiting on that from RS Prop gang. :)

Thanks guys!

Just waiting on my belt now... other than that I think it's finished.

I can't get a response from the RS prop guys on my belt. Until I receive my belt the suit remains unfinished. I sure I will get it someday, but ... a response would be nice.

The belt is SOOOOO worth the wait!!

As they've outsourced it it does take a bit of time and yes, a response wouldn't go amiss but communication aside, the RS boys really have been an absolute pleasure to do business with.

I think they need to employ a secretary though or someone to man the enquiries/helpdesk ;)
