TD-4395[501st] Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Is there any reason why this voice changer wouldnt work to get that over the radio sound effect? http://www.amazon.co...19516313&sr=8-2 Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) because it is bluetooth for a cel phone? or maybe that it won't power an amp? we don't use cell phones to broadcast in our costumes Edited October 25, 2011 by TK Bondservnt 2392 Quote
Smitty Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) The best bang for your buck is the $10 scott respirator mic/amp on Fleabay. Like this one ---------- Simple and powerful. Edited March 28, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
Smitty Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 I always throw a click in when I'm talking. Its a simple solution and your not at the mercy of a garage built static burst generator. Quote
TrooperVenger Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 It all depends what you're after. If it's just simple amplification, then something like that will do however if you want the whole static burst and voice altering and amplification, then you 'need' to get a RomFX or something similar. But for a cheap device then you can't go far wrong with the voice changer. Quote
TD-4395[501st] Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 i was originally thinking about using that voice changer with a small 9 volt powered amp i found at radioshack and just plugging it into the mic slot. Quote
jnnfr72[TK] Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 For my 1st outing (at my workplace) seems like they were all disappointed that I didn't have a voice changer. Geez, they sure are picky. Course, nobody asked where my Thermal Detonator was, and where the heck was my E-11???!!! Quote
TD-3425 Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) If you've spent the money on armor, parts, boots etc then why use a crud amp etc. I started off with a Radio Shack amp that was "recommended" with my TrikToys static burst module. What a waste! The RS amp was feedback central and while the triktoys module does "work"... the static burst volume was very low and you could barely hear it. So I bought an iComm and Aker amp from Jim, TK-6294. It works, it works VERY well, and it sounds GREAT! Simple, effective, and cheap. Around $150 for the Aker amp and iComm --------- Edited March 28, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
