Hi all. Got a PM on the UKG forum from a member who has tried to register on the forum here, but hasn't been able to gain access.

He registered last sunday.

His forum name is funkster and his email is mrfluffy@hotmail.com Can anyone look into this for me so I can get back to him?

Maybe he needs to have his authentication email resent to him.

Cheers.

Can you give me some more details on what you mean by 'gain access'? As in he can read the forums but login refuses to recognize him? Is he getting a message regarding his password? I'll look into what his member account says meanwhile but a bit more detail about his exact problem could help me feel it out...

Ok - think I've solved it. He registered his email as mrfluffy@homtail.com!

I've changed it in his registered details to hotmail. Tell him to see if he gets his authentication email now. If let me know. I'll remove his info and he can register again with the correct email.

Got a reply from him today saying he still hasn't had the email and still can't gain access. He's checked his junk email folder and there's nothing there.

He has given me another e-mail address. mbrooks@havering-college.ac.uk I don't know if this is any good to you.

Is there anything I can do to help him or you guys?

I'll look into it. I have to admit I've never investigated the authentication emails before as they are automated but Paul will know so I'll give him a heads up. The system thinks it has sent the mail, but since it had the incorrect email address funkster wouldn't have gotten it.

I'll see if there's a way to send one manually, otherwise he might have to go through the registration process again...

Ok tell him he should be good to go. I've authenticated his membership so he won't need the email. He should be fine now.
