Hedjii72 Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 My AP lid is very tight to get over my head. I can corkscrew it on with effort, but man it is a tight pinch. The opening is about 6.5 inches on the width. Is it recommended that I shave some more meat off of this? How much is too much? I don't want to ruin the look or be able to see in. Thoughts? Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 You could easily trim this much off without it being at all noticeable while on: Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Haha! Just happened to be drawing on my iPad at the right moment... Quote
TK_LEPER Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Right on Lucas! AP lids are pretty tight in general, and once you put the neck trim on ... it's even harder to put it on. Quote
TrooperVenger Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Yeah trim it up a bit but not too much. If you trim it to where Lucas has indicated and it's still too tight, you might be better off selling the lid and getting a bigger one. Quote

geordietrooper Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 I think AP lids were made from an original sculpt, not a casted from a screen used lid nope its a cast from original anh Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 I usually take most of the front faceplate and cut. the back n cap does not really need a trim. about a 1/4" or less really makes a difference. Quote
