bobojuice Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Right side snap is facing the wrong way. Should be inside with the back part on the outside. Belt looks a little wide as well, not sure if that matters though. Everything else looks very nice. I will say that if you remove those rivets from your sniper plate and fix the snap you'll probably be GTG for Centurion. Edited September 25, 2011 by bobojuice Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) only elements other than that are what luis suggests. the backs of the thighs could be looked at a little more closely great build! nice clean assembly! Rich330[TK] Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Looking fantastic Luis. Sorry noone picked up on the snap facing the wrong way round. Should be easy to fix. The rest is faultless. By the way folks, this guy has taken the Spanish Garrison boards by storm. He's only just got clearance but every step along the way of his build he translated all the guidelines we have in English here and from elsewhere on the web and created a whole load of really detailed tutorials in Spanish. A really valuable member of the Garrison already. Quote

Hi Luis, I think the centurion requirements recognise that certain armour types (notably AP) are very thick and robust and thus it's very hard to attach this piece with just glue. So, it's listed in the requirements as prefereable but not an absolute requirement. Rivets are not ideal but are permitted. Quote

So, it's listed in the requirements as prefereable but not an absolute requirement. Rivets are not ideal but are permitted. ATA ABS is quite thick (2mm) as well, and the sniper plate doesn't like being bent into shape around the shin armor. This problem can be remedied by a lot of glue and lots of clamps. If worse comes to worse it can be heated and bent into shape. Either way, the CRL states that the knee plate should not have rivets of any kind, so that's how it should be. Quote
dashrazor Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 for EIB its an easy pass Approved! and great work trooper. Luis if you go for Centurion ( you really should) , i would recommend flipping the snap on the ab plate around.. as for the knee plate,,, the Centurion requirements read Ideally there should be no visible rivets or brads used to secure the sniper plate to the left greave. this means there may be rivets or brads present, although it is not ideal.. this could change in the future .. for now, if it is blended well and i cant see it clearly in a action shot its OK in my book Quote
