dashrazor Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 everything looks OK, but i would ask that you fix your shins so they are on the proper legs and the overlap is on the inside... not only will it look better, they will be a lot more comfortable to walk around in i know it will be a little work to swap the sniper plate, but i would rather see the shins on the proper legs with a incorrect overlap than a correct overlap with the shins on the wrong legs as you already know there is now a tutorial for proper AM shin assembly http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=16608 Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 darn, then i need to get some extra plastic for shimming.. which i dont have any left Quote
dashrazor Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 if you used E-6000 you should be able to re-use your old cover strips. Also, it wouldn't be ideal but you could just swap the sniper plate onto the other shin Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 actually that's what i did what i did the first time, i had the shins 'wrong' i 'fixed' them, but turns out they're still wrong? gotta go work on these then Quote
dashrazor Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 it turns out it was not your fault the overlaps were incorrect.. it is a problem with the AM armor design itself. until recently this was thought to be an assembly issue. but we now know it is a problem with the AM armor .. fortunately somebody came up with a simple solution for now but IMHO the armor parts really should be corrected on the maker end. Morphine Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Hey Juan is it ABS that you need? If so I got some that you can chop off to help get that fixed. Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 6, 2011 Author Report Posted September 6, 2011 thanks bro, i THINK i have some around. i'll go check and see if it's still around.. if not, you have a phone call! haha Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 20, 2011 Author Report Posted September 20, 2011 I finally finished fixing the legs.. didn't do much, fixed the sniper plate and added a shim on the back so it would look better. Quote
jnnfr72[TK] Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Hey Juan! Looks good. I'm working on cover strips, too. I'm going to copy this pose when my armor is done: [it's awesomely CHILLIN'!!] Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 22, 2011 Author Report Posted September 22, 2011 Haha, thanks, I like to 'chilliest' when I'm in armor Quote
dashrazor Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 looks good Juan approved! congratulations Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 22, 2011 Author Report Posted September 22, 2011 Awesome! Thanks! Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Just noticing this - the RT chest and ATA back looks great! A real improvement to the AM kit (along with fixing the shins) that I do hope more AM wearers decide to adopt. Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted September 25, 2011 Author Report Posted September 25, 2011 Thanks! I was immediately inspired by you after noticing that the RT-Mod chest looked a lot better that AM's chest did. Quote
