ctankep Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Ok, so we are pretty much out of space in our apartment. This means that i need to find a good way to make my TD-suit use up as little space as possible. I need suggestions! There is room in the attic but i have a concern that i need to ask all of you: Will the ABS take cold well? Will it crack or is it safe to store it in a wardrobe out in the attic? Cheers Varg Quote
Rich330[TK] Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 In my last place I had a full set of armour hanging from a coat hanger which was hangign from a hook on the ceiling. Quote
ctankep Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 Good idea! Ok this is my main issue thou: does armour take damage from beeing stored in a cold attic? The helmet i will have in a shelf in our living room but the rest of the armour could fit in a wardrobe in the attic, would it, as far as weather and temperature goes, be safe to store like that? Locitus[Admin] Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 I store mine in a suitcase which is inside my closet most of the time. Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) you could always send your armour to me... that could work nice and warm over here! hahaha Edited August 25, 2011 by seantrooper Quote
bobojuice Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) Throw it on a mannequin and display that sucker. I'm assuming you have standing room somewhere. Edited August 25, 2011 by bobojuice Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 How cold does it get in your attic? Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 According to Wikipedia ABS can withstand temperatures down to 25 degrees C. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylonitrile_butadiene_styrene Is it colder than that in your attic? Quote
ctankep Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) The temperature usually won't go below - 7 degrees C outside, so i am guessing the same inside more or less. Edited August 25, 2011 by ctankep Quote
Rich330[TK] Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 If any of the armour is painted, the paintwork might suffer more. Quote
