vecspeed12 Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 ATA sells some in abs. Just make sure you ask for the hero ears. Quote
Amplexor[TK] Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Here is my TM Hero helmet.. He makes great stuff Quote
Shock Trooper Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 Hi all. Thanks guys. Has the TM and VT original lineage?.I would like to know the history of these helmets.I am looking for a helmet derived from the original if it´s possible. Are they members here? Thanks again. Quote
Amplexor[TK] Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 TM is fan made. VT's history is not really known, I think. Troopermaster is here, yes. Quote
geordietrooper Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 the only true hero with lineage as far as i know will be the the new EFX offering, out of the fan stuff though i think the tm looks the best Quote
Shock Trooper Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 Thanks for the info.A member here offered me an early VT hero helmet for $300.Is a good price and option?.I am not an expert with the hero version. Thanks again. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 If it's already painted up i think it's a fair price. Quote

I know V.T. Is said to have recast, but I thought the Hero helmet he used to make wasn't a "recast"? I've never seen another hero helmet like it. I don't want start a debate on this thread. If you know it is or isn't just pm me the facts and details. I would like to know. Thanks Quote
Shock Trooper Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 How can I contact ATA? Thanks. Quote
john danter Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 If you can't find one, I make hero upgrade kits. Bubble lenses and 3 bumps ears Quote
Shock Trooper Posted August 11, 2011 Author Report Posted August 11, 2011 Hi.I have this AP helmet and I would like to know if I can upgrade it to a hero version. Thanks for the help. Quote
TK-7980 Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 That looks like it's already in Hero configuration. Bubble lenses and 4 teeth. Only thing I can't make out are the ears. Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 Looks like you have only three teeth cut out per side, but kinda looks like a stunt frown. Usually Hero versions don't have that much paint on the frown (thinner and shorter), but like Alex said, you have bubble lenses already, you just need 3 bumped ears (if you have them, good). Quote
geordietrooper Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 remember hero's don't have the bumpy eye Quote
Shock Trooper Posted August 11, 2011 Author Report Posted August 11, 2011 Hi.I´ll repaint the frown and will buy new ears.Any tip for the bumpy eye? Thanks for the help. Quote
TK-7980 Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 Use a modeling iron to slowly (and VERY CAREFULLY) heat and depress it. Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 When assembling or reassembling, always use references so you can get that perfect look http://starwarshelmets.com/original-ANH-hero-Stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm Quote
Shock Trooper Posted August 11, 2011 Author Report Posted August 11, 2011 OK.I´ll try. Thanks Alex. Quote
Shock Trooper Posted August 11, 2011 Author Report Posted August 11, 2011 Thanks Juan. The helmet has decals and I´ll repaint it like the originals. Quote
BananoPower22[TK] Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 (edited) I'd suggest you that you get some new tube stripes as well, the ones you have right now are placed way too low. The appropiate spacing between the cheek and the stripes is similar to the width of a pencil Edited August 11, 2011 by BananoPower22 Quote
Shock Trooper Posted August 12, 2011 Author Report Posted August 12, 2011 Yeah.I know.I´ll paint them with Humbrol colors using TK-4510 templates. Thanks. Quote
