SCtrooper20 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 I recently came into the possession of a pre-built TK suit. The owner used newspaper to add weathering to the suit. I was wondering what is out there that can clean and polish it up nice and shinny Thanks Quote
Smitty Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Novus polish. You can get it in a kit with 3 graduated strength bottles. Start with the paste and finish it off with the spray polish. Makes ABS look good as new. Quote
SCtrooper20 Posted June 29, 2011 Author Report Posted June 29, 2011 Is this available at like Home Depot, Lowes or Walmart Quote
sith_241 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Not as far as i know. I got mine at a plastics store. Online you can get it on Amazon or elsewhere Google Novus Polish. #3 is the coarsest, to #1 being cleaner only Quote
Billhag Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Polish?....POLISH!!? What is this thing called Poll-lishh? Well over three years and not a bit of the stuff as touched mine Quote
SuperTrooper Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Mr. Clean magic erasers are great. They work on painted armor too. While I like a little scuff and wear on my armor, some things you have to clean off. A clone bumped me at an event and I had a 3 inch blue streak on my shoulder bell for example. Quote
ThayNerd[TK] Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 (edited) I have not polished my armor since 07. I like the worn look that it gets overtime. Edited June 30, 2011 by ThayNerd Quote
SW1 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Three years in the TM Billy and its weathring nicely and thats why you got the UKG gold patch for all the trooping in it, above and beyond i salute you sir Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 (edited) Novus and Goo Gone also WD-40 sometimes works very well at removing scuffs:) Edited June 30, 2011 by TK-4510 Quote
TK-2126_MD[TK] Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Novus polish is awesome, only downside that it produeces micro airborne particles that are very carcinogenic so use it out side and wear a protective mask. Quote
SCtrooper20 Posted July 1, 2011 Author Report Posted July 1, 2011 Thanks guys. I have been thinking about how I wanted to do with it. Once I get a neck seal and a holster I'll post a pic to see how it looks and if I want to change it. Quote
Ronime Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I use either the Mr Clean Magic Erasers and/or Turtle Wax. Gets it shiny fast. Quote
